Strange Day

Strange day. On my way home tonight, I ran a red light by mistake because I was trying to send an email on my phone. I ploughed right into a crossing pedestrian who happened to be Manchester City footballer Nigel De Jong, smashing his legs in the process. The police arrived and asked me to blow in the bag and I was just a bit over the limit..hic. Anyway, to cut a long story short the cops agreed that I had no criminal record and sent me on my merry way without as much as an endorsement. ''He's not that kind of driver'' I heard them mutter as I sped off.

  1. Ha! That had me going for a few lines there.

What infuriates me the most about this De Jong story is that he IS "that kind of player". I mean, let's forget that "He's not that kind of player" is a spurious argument for a second. Even if it held that someone shouldn't be penalised for being reckless because it's the first time they were ever reckless, de Jong frequently pulls this kinda shit.
